Fancy Roxy-Bird is totally cute! When she was born, I was amazed by how much she looked like her distant ancestresses Demi & Spree, who were two of the 'Chipettes' from the first Milescross litter back in 1993. It's been many years since we've had a super dark "Chip" brindle around here, and we are happy The Bird has stayed in the family. She lives with Donna O'Toole & uncle Clark in Santa Maria.

In a litter of big personalities, Roxy is among the biggest, always with the happy waggy tail & she is a talker too! The Bird began to perch early on, and could often be found high upon one of the Adirondack chairs in the yard, or on top of a crate, or even on Heather's head. Roxy made up the other half of our brace with Odi & the National & NCWFA shows in Fall 2021.

The Bird is a Show Bird, finishing quickly with prestige wins at Woofstock, Santa Barbara KC & completing her title with a big major at the NCWFA Specialty show in October 2022. As you can see from the photos to the upper left & below, this is a Bird who loves to fly! Roxy-Bird came out to try her paw at getting her Grand in 2024 & quickly picked up this title with almost all majors. She came along to some shows to keep her kids company in 2025 and started collecting points for her GCH Bronze, winning some big BOS & SB awards & going BOB over 47 whippets in Flagstaff [and on to a Group II]!

Bird has completed all her health testing [BAER hearing, OFA Advanced Cardiac in 2021 & 2023 & OFA Eye] & has her CHIC # 182451. Roxy's 2023 litter with Woody was not to be, but we welcomed July 2024 babies sired by Bowie, DC Summit Good Vibrations MC. Our Literary Birds have inherited many good qualities from their dam.
