Demitasse was a lovely compliment to both sides of her pedigree. In fact, she was just what we all were hoping for when we bred Demi to Stinger. Gorgeous, sound, and athletic - Demitasse finished her various titles quickly. She completed her AKC FC as a yearling, winning multiple BIFs along the way. After this, she speedily finished in the show ring.

After two lovely litters for Wendy, and three champion children, Demitasse came out of retirement to win the hotly contested Veteran Sweepstakes at the 2008 National Specialty. Tasse was definitely 'on' that night, showing up a storm on a loose lead. Or was she just trying to make up for her dismal performance at the CGC test that morning?
Demitasse enjoyed her retirement years in Santa Ynez, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was always happy to visit with her old friends and made many new ones at the 2010 National Specialty in Arizona, where she served as a 'poster girl' for the resilience of the breed, as she modeled the latest looks in head cones as she recovered from her eye enucleation surgery, the result of melanoma. A reoccurence of melanoma is unfortunately what killed this wonderful whippet, who was cheerful and perky, right up to the end.
