Milescross Lyric of Elandan
Milescross Lyric of Elandan - "Isadora"
(Ch. Starline's Reign On, JC X Locar's Creme De Cocao, JC)
DOB 6/21/1995 - 8/19/2011
Breeders: Guin & Christine Borstel & Dan & Leslie Silva
Isadora came back here to live at the age of twelve and a half, after her co-breeders 'got out of dogs'. Izzy is Amie and Jasmine's sister. I didn't really want another dog, and not an elderly, mostly kennel dog at that, but Isadora has been a joy. She is so reminscent of her mother, Julia, from her unnerving stare when she feels that dinner is a moment overdue, to her skill at getting under any blanket.
Izzy was quite the showgirl in her youth, winning a group placement, and earning the title of the "Reserve Queen" with several big ones, including RWB at the biggest regional specialty California has ever seen (SCWA 1997, under Betty Stites). As these things go, we all moved on to the next up-and-comers, and Izzy was never finished or bred, but she was most definitely a very worthy bitch who carried a lot of quality, as her photo at the top of the page attests.

After a bit of a shaky start when she arrived here, Izzy has thrived, and I suspect she may rival her mother for long-livedness. She does sleep most of the day away, but is still up for a romp with the younger crew, and can sass it up with the best of them if the mood strikes her.
Isadora celebrated a very happy fifteenth birthday in June 2010. She enjoyed a party with two of her sisters and snacks by the pool. It is quite remarkable that five of her litter of six were still going strong at a decade and a half.
Sadly, Isadora passed away a few months after her sixteenth birthday. We miss our Granny Canny but were happy to have had her wth us for her Golden Years.
