Special thanks to the fine photographers whose skills have provided this site with its many wonderful photos. My late mother, Christine Borstel, was a dog photographer of rare artistry, always managing to capture on film the the dog I saw in my head. I am amazed to think that she was able to get the best photos, often on the first try, back in the pre-digital days, when you had no idea what you were shooting until you got the prints back. I treasure the thousands of photos she took of the Milescross and Milescross-related whippets. Wendy Gay also has provided many a memorable image over the years, most of hers, too, on film cameras. Rob Vollmar was drafted into taking pictures of many of the mid-2000s era Milescross whippets, and even though he had to undertake a crash course in what constitutes a great dog photo (harder than it sounds to describe), he did a skillful and artistic job. I hope he is pursuing photography, where ever he is these days. My sister, Heather, has taken on the mantle of resident whippet photographer in recent years & does a great job. Thanks also to the professional show photographers who took win photos good enough to be on this website, especially Meg Callea, who always seems to be able to wrangle a pretty shot. Whippets can be really hard to take a good picture of.
