Our beautiful Ava has always been a stand out. When she was born, I thought immediately how much she looked like her much lauded great-great aunt Demi, although when her sister Roxy Bird arrived a few minutes later I had to revise my assessment with regards to the similarity of color and markings. Ava is truly reminiscent of her great-grandmother Pie in general style & shape, but that indefinable curious spirit is definitely coming through from her g.g. aunt Demi!

​Ava is our quarantine baby & we are working really hard to get her socialized and prepared for life as an outgoing, busy Milescross whippet once the pandemic is behind us. ​Ava was race qualified but then decided bumping was more fun, so it's back to square one. Lure coursing has been a big fail, as she will consistently run to the first turn and then come back to me. Fast CAT might be Ava's only sport, as she is very good at running to me!

​ She was awarded first in the Novice Bitch class at the 2021 National Specialty. She is a wild ride and far too enthusiastic about cookies at this point & I thank Donna for drawing the short straw & dealing with the bucking bronc in Santa Fe. Ava is beginning to like showing & hopefully her deportment will continue to improve. 

Ava has passed all her health tests [BAER hearing, OFA Advanced Cardiac in 2021 & 2023 & OFA eye] and has her CHIC # 182452 & might have puppies in 2024.
