Milescross Hope Is The Thing With Feathers - "Charley"Milescross Hope Is The Thing With Feathers - "Charley-Eagle"
(DC GCH Summit Good Vibrations MC X GCH Milescross Odalisque) DOB: 7/18/2024 Breeders: Guin Borstel & Donna O'Toole Owners: Donna Wilhoyte, Guin Borstel & Donna O'Toole Charley is the puppy I have waited for thirty-five years for; a white headed 'bald eagle' with full eye rim pigment. The fact that she is a beautiful whippet with her mother's lovely movement is total icing on the cake. As I was not keeping a female from this litter, even if there was one who had the markings I have coveted for over a quarter of a century, I was so happy that my old friend Donna Wilhoyte was a charmed by the Eagle as I and Donna O'Toole were. Charley lives with Donna, Todd, her uncle Zeb & honorary aunt Dee Dee in Antelope CA. She will be seen in the ring and on the field. Here is the poem Charley-Eagle was named for. It is one of Emily Dickenson's most delightful works & is the perfect registered name for a delightful whippet! “Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all - And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard - And sore must be the storm - That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm - I’ve heard it in the chillest land - And on the strangest Sea - Yet - never - in Extremity, It asked a crumb - of me. - Emily Dickinson |
